Hey guys! It's me! Shoshana Renee! I am a musician, accountant, DIY-er, wife, mother, optimist, yogini, (I do yoga. I had to look up what to call myself and the internet said "Yogi" or "Yogini!") avid reader, and most of all a dedicated lifetime learner. I LOVE learning! One of my motto's is "Never Stop Learning"!

I have a bachelors degree in music. I play the piano and am currently learning how to play the violin and viola. I have written songs and recorded several albums. One was mainly solo piano. One was more "rock"ish of songs that I had written. And one was a Christmas album. Shameless plug here, you can find two of my albums on iTunes, Amazon and various other places (https://www.amazon.com/s?k=shoshana+renee&ref=nb_sb_noss)

I have a second bachelors in Accounting and will be going back to school in a few weeks to get my Master's in Accounting. Yes, people, I get to use BOTH sides of my brain! I love numbers! I fell into an accounting job YEARS ago with zero experience and my boss taught me everything I needed to know about accounting! Until I went back to school that is. Now I know so much more.

I love love love to fix things. I AM Tinkerbell! The water dispenser on my fridge stopped working and I took it apart, figured out what was wrong, installed the replacement part and voila! Water dispenser is working again! I installed a tankless hot water heater in the condo I used to live in. I made a desk out of piano, which is what I am writing on right now! I will write a whole other blog post about THAT process. PLUS pictures!

I am a mother of one little girl. She's not so little anymore, but still too young to drive so she still needs me! She is involved in lots of projects, activities and hobbies and sports so she keeps me really busy!

I am a wife! I love my husband! He's great! I am one of the super lucky ones that is NOT married to an A-hole. Don't get me wrong, it's not been daisies and butterflies the whole time. We've been married for 15 years. We've had our ups and downs like everyone else. I try to cook healthy things and have my little family eat and drink healthy things. I wrote off soda years ago for myself and after a year and a half, it rubbed off on my husband and he gave up sodas too.

I love practicing yoga. I do not want to be a 60+ year old woman who won't sit on the floor because they might not be able to get back up. I want to be able to get off the floor! I try to stay healthy and flexible and strong. I read somewhere that you lose 2% of your muscle mass every year so you have to keep working out to stay strong.

Which leads me to reading! I love reading! But I am also picky about WHAT I read. I get really wrapped up in the story and I AM the main character so if it's too dark or sinister or depressing, I will usually steer towards something lighter. It doesn't have to be all rainbows, but I don't need to go to bed feeling like life is the worst. Life can be crap sometimes. There's no need to dwell on HOW crappy it can be. Basically, the outcome can make a sad or depressing book totally worth it.

And here we are at my motto! Never Stop Learning! I LOVE learning! I love learning how to do things and how to make things better and do things more efficiently. I started learning Spanish a few years ago. French is my first love. I took French in college and my roommate in college was from Paris, France! But, living in Texas, there are more opportunities to speak Spanish than French. So I picked up Spanish. The book I am reading right now is in Spanish, but there is a character from France in it so he speaks a little French and I am in HEAVEN! I get BOTH languages in this one! Just a little, but it makes me happy!

Here's what you can expect from my blog. I will be writing about things that I have learned, or things that are important to me, or things I am thinking about and maybe asking your opinion on what you've learned about the subject. We should all try to make our lives, and those of the people around us, better on this path called Life. We should learn from each other and inspire one another to be better. We all have room to improve and become better versions of ourselves. That is all I am trying to do. One thing I plan to do however, is to include a song. I want to find a song that has meant something to me and you can listen to it while you read, or after you have read my blog. Some songs will pertain to the subject more than others. Sometimes, the only thing that will life your spirit is a song.

The song I am including today is one that I wrote a few years ago and since this is my first blog and I had to tell you SOOOO much about me, there isn't one song with words that would cover everything, so I hope you enjoy this song, that has singing......but no words!
